Fuyu Collections
The Fuyu ceramic collection draws its inspiration from the winter season in Japan, where "Fuyu" means "winter" in Japanese. So I created a collection that captures the essence and aesthetic of this particular season.
The main distinctive aspect of the Fuyu collection is the black enamel layered with touches of blue. Black oil drop glaze is applied to the ceramic, and in places, accents of rutile blue are added. This combination creates a symbiosis between the elegance of black and the freshness of blue, evoking the atmosphere of Japanese winter.
The areas where black glaze and rutile blue meet on the ceramic are reminiscent of the winter landscapes of Japan. Black enamel often depicts the silhouettes of bare trees in the snow, while touches of blue evoke ice and the cold waters of frozen rivers and lakes. This juxtaposition of colors and textures creates a unique and poetic atmosphere in each piece of the Fuyu collection.
Whether bowls, plates, cups or vases, each piece in the Fuyu collection is an artistic interpretation of Japanese winter. I bring my sensitivity here to capture the fleeting beauty of this season and transmit it through ceramics.
My journey towards ceramics...
My passion for ceramics took root in Nagoya, Japan, where I lived for a year. It was there that I discovered the captivating art of ceramics. On my return, I had the chance to meet Rizü Takahashi, a talented ceramist from whom I took enriching lessons. This experience inspired me to deepen my skills, which led me to join the EMA CNIFOP in the BURGUNDY region.
During my training in Saint Amand en Puisaye, I had the privilege of being supervised by Martine Renault. It is thanks to her that I obtained my CAP and acquired the solid foundations of this fascinating craft. During this year of training, I also had the opportunity to explore various cooking techniques, including cooking with wood, under the guidance of Yolaine Eve at the Espace Jacques Jeanennay.
Today, I am proud to offer a range of stoneware ceramics dedicated to the art of the table. Each piece is the result of my work on the wheel and the plate, skillfully combining sober lines and soft colors. I attach great importance to the quality and aesthetics of my creations.
One of my priorities is to guarantee user security. This is why I develop my own enamel recipes fired in an electric kiln, scrupulously respecting the standards in force regarding the materials used. I ensure that my glazes are both aesthetically pleasing and safe for everyday use.
I am deeply passionate about ceramic art and aspire to create unique pieces that enrich your culinary experience and beautify your table. Each creation is made with care and attention, combining traditional know-how and contemporary touches.
I can't wait to share my love for ceramics with you. Whether you are looking for a distinctive piece for your interior or an original gift, I am convinced that my collections will appeal to you. Welcome to my world where ceramics become an invitation to timeless elegance and the art of living."
